What about the tuition I have paid for 2020?
You have a few different options moving forward:
- Guarantee your son’s spot for 2021 by rolling over the 2020 paid tuition.
- Consider donating your tuition – full or partial – to support Camp O-AT-KA.
- We will issue a refund for your 2020 tuition.
My son was supposed to be in the CIT program. What will happen next year?
Your son will have the choice of doing the full CIT program or applying for an Assistant Counselor position in 2021. It is whatever he is most comfortable with. We will be available to talk options and counsel him on this decision.
My son was a second-year senior. Is he eligible for the CIT program next summer?
Yes! Your son will have the option to do one more year of the senior unit or join the Counselor in Training program for 2021.
What about my 5-year jacket?
We know how exciting it is to receive your 5-year jacket. If you return to camp in 2021, we will have your jacket ready for you when you arrive (instead of at the end of the session) and you will be recognized at the awards ceremony as a 2020 recipient.
Can I visit camp this summer?
It is our hope that we will be able to have visitors later in the summer. As the Reopening Maine plan unfolds, we are looking for opportunities to have families or campers visit camp and get their feet in the sand of Sebago Lake. We will keep you posted! For now, we do ask that you call camp (207-787-3401) to arrange any visits in advance.
Let’s talk about summer 2021 NOW!
We all need something to look forward to and it’s never too early to think about Summer 2021. We can guarantee it will be EPIC. Registration for next summer will open soon. We will send an email with information on how to register and if you are transferring your 2020 tuition; we will automatically enroll you. Anyone who registers before September 15, 2020 will lock in at the 2020 rates.
I miss my friends and counselors – Help!
O-AT-KA will be setting up ways for you to interact with camp, friends, and your counselors. This may be Unit zoom calls, password messages, games, and fun photos. Make sure to check the camp’s social media sites (FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM) for information. Once it is appropriate, we hope to host more regional gatherings throughout the country so can hopefully see you before next June.
